Mullite bricks

Mullite bricks are a kind of high alumina refractory with mullite (3Al2O3 2SiO2)

                   as the main crystalline phase and contain 65 ~ 75% alumina content 

High fire resistance, up to 1790 ℃ above. The initial softening temperature of the load is 1600 ~ 1700 ℃. Compressive strength at normal temperature 70 ~ 260MPa. Good thermal shock resistance                                                                                 

Three types of high alumina refractories

• Low mullite and mullite base (w (Al2O3) = 48% ~ 71.8%)
• Based on mullite-corundum and corundum-mullite (w (Al2O3) = 71.8% ~ 95%)
• Corundum based (Al2O3 ＞ 90%)
